This tweak reduces the time XP waits before automatically closing any running
programs when you give it the command to shutdown.
Step 1:- Open start menu Then open Run.
Step 2:-Type 'Regedit' and click ok.
Step 3:-Find 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\'.
Step 4:-Select 'WaitToKillAppTimeout'.
Step 5:-Right click and select 'Modify'.
Step 6:-Change the value to '1000' and Click "ok".
Step 7:-Now select 'Hung App Timeout', Right click and select 'Modify' Change
the value to '1000', Click 'OK'.
Step 8:-Now find 'HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop' Select
'Wait To Kill App Timeout',Right click and select 'Modify', Change the value to
'1000', Click 'OK'
Step 9:-Now find 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\'
Select 'Wait To Kill Service Timeout'
Step 10:-Right click and select 'Modify' Change the value to '1000', Click 'OK'.
