A few days ago I wrote about Samsung’s missed opportunity with its
photography-oriented smartphone, the Galaxy S4 Zoom, arguing for a bolder
approach to the marriage of connectivity and higher quality image-making.
Today Samsung announced the Galaxy NX, an interchangeable lens camera
that runs on the Android 4.2 OS. And quite unlike the S4 Zoom, this
announcement could one day be seen as the dawn of a new era of camera
control for enthusiasts.
Samsung has announced it's new camera "Samsung Galaxy NX " in it's
special event that was held in London which has the ability to change it's
Lens and running on Android.
Samsung Galaxy NX has design similar to the previous Samsung cameras
of the series NX, in addition to it has a high definition big touch screen with
size of 4.8 inches, with a quad core processor with 1.6 GHZ running on
Android 4.2.2.
Samsung Galaxy NX has a 20.3 megapixel camera with APS-C sensor, the
camera lens can be replaced with any Samsung lens, including the 3D lenses,
the camera comes with a 16G internal memory can be extended using Micro
SD card and 2giga rams, Also the camera supports WIFI networks and 4G
LTE with a 4360 MAh battery capacity.
Samsung said that the camera is capable of shooting video at 1080p at 24 or
50 frames per second, and up its own shutter speed up to 1/6000th
second. ISO and with a degree can be up to 25,600 in low-light conditions,
also the camera enjoys some application that make taking images easier
and editing them more flexible, Samsung Galaxy NX has the ability to share
images on social networks like Facebook, Instagram and twitter.
Samsung said that the camera will be available in UK this summer then the
other countries.
